Privacy Policy

Last updated: 20 October 2026

This policy explains how VistaPocket handles personal information when you visit vistapocket.com, contact us or follow our referral links. It also explains cookies and your privacy choices.

About VistaPocket

VistaPocket operates from Australia under ABN 28 957 055 386. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the operator of VistaPocket.

For privacy questions, requests or complaints, email contact@vistapocket.com.

Use the control below to review available cookie categories and change or withdraw your optional cookie choices for this browser. Essential cookies needed for site operation, security or remembering your choices remain necessary.

Browser settings can also block or delete cookies. Your preferences may need to be set again if you clear browser storage or use another browser or device. Changing a choice does not itself delete information already received by a third party; contact us or that provider about deletion requests.

Information we collect

  • Information you provide: your name, email address and the contents of messages you send us, including privacy requests.
  • Technical and usage information: IP address, browser and device details, pages requested, referring pages or campaigns, timestamps and interactions such as outbound link clicks. The information available depends on the services enabled and your choices.
  • Consent information: records of cookie choices, consent status and time, and associated identifiers. Our consent tool can also record a partial IP address and approximate country.

Our credit score landing page does not contain a lead-registration form. Applications and registrations reached through its buttons take place on external websites. Please do not send us credit reports, Social Security numbers, identity documents, passwords or payment card details by email.

How we use information

We use information to operate and secure the website, respond to enquiries, manage privacy requests, remember cookie choices, understand website traffic and measure campaign and referral performance. Where affiliate tracking is enabled, it can help attribute a referral or qualifying sign-up to our website. We may receive a commission for qualifying referrals.

Cookies and measurement technologies

Cookies are small files stored by a browser. Pixels and similar technologies can send information about a page visit or interaction to a service provider. These technologies can involve personal information even when no form is completed.

  • Essential: site functionality, security and recording cookie preferences.
  • Functional: optional features and saved preferences, where enabled.
  • Analytics: understanding visits and interactions, where an analytics service is enabled.
  • Advertising and attribution: measuring ads, referrals and conversions, and related processing by advertising providers, where enabled.

We use SureCookie to provide cookie preferences. Optional services must be configured to respect the choices that apply to them. A provider described below is not necessarily active on every page. We will review this policy and the relevant controls when introducing another tracking service.

Planned Meta advertising measurement

We plan to use Meta advertising tools, including Meta Pixel, to measure visits, outbound clicks and advertising performance. This section describes the planned use and does not mean that Meta Pixel is already installed on every page.

When enabled, Meta tools can send Meta information such as IP address, browser and device details, page URLs, cookie or advertising identifiers and event information. Meta may match this with information it already holds and use it under its own policies, including for advertising personalisation and measurement. Our use for metrics does not make this processing anonymous.

You can manage the relevant optional category through Cookie Settings. You can also review Meta’s Privacy Policy, Meta’s Cookies Policy and your Meta ad preferences. We have not selected any additional analytics or advertising tracker for this policy.

Who receives information and overseas processing

Information may be handled by the providers needed for hosting, website security, email and consent management. Advertising and affiliate measurement providers receive relevant technical or referral information when those services are enabled. We may also disclose information where required by law or reasonably necessary to protect legal rights or investigate misuse.

We operate in Australia. Some providers may process information outside Australia, including in the United States when Meta or US-based referral services are used. Global providers may use other countries as described in their privacy information. For details about a particular provider or the arrangements applying to your information, contact us.

External websites and referrals

Our buttons and other links may take you to websites operated by other businesses. Those businesses collect information under their own privacy policies and terms. A referral can reveal technical information, such as the referring page or an attribution identifier, depending on the link and browser settings. We do not automatically receive all information that you submit to an external provider.

Clicking an outbound button on VistaPocket does not, by itself, subscribe you to a VistaPocket newsletter or give blanket consent to a third party’s marketing. Review the notices and choices on the destination website before submitting information.

How long information is kept

Consent records: our SureCookie consent-log retention setting is currently 365 days. This applies to consent records, not to every cookie or to data held independently by Meta or another provider.

Enquiries, website logs and referral records: there is no single retention period for all these records. Retention is determined by the purpose of the record, the time needed to resolve an enquiry or dispute, security needs, applicable legal requirements and the provider’s settings. We aim to remove or de-identify personal information under our control when it is no longer needed for a permitted purpose, unless retention is legally required.

Cookies and third-party records: cookie lifetimes vary by cookie and browser settings; third-party information is subject to that provider’s retention practices. Expiry of a browser cookie does not necessarily delete data already held by its provider. Contact us if you need information about a particular record or retention setting.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the website and the information handled, including access controls and website security tools. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please avoid including unnecessary financial or identity information in messages to us.

Your requests and complaints

Contact contact@vistapocket.com to request access to or correction of personal information we hold, ask for deletion where available, withdraw optional cookie consent, object to advertising-related processing or raise a complaint. Depending on your location and the laws that apply, you may have additional rights, including rights to opt out of sale or sharing for targeted advertising. We do not assume that every law applies to every visitor or every business.

Describe your request and the information or browser involved. We may need reasonable identity or authority checks before releasing personal information. Do not email identity documents unless we arrange a suitable method. We aim to respond within 30 days, or within a shorter period where required by applicable law. We will explain any applicable restriction on a request.

If you are dissatisfied with our handling of an Australian privacy complaint, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, where the matter is within its jurisdiction, or another regulator with authority over your complaint.

Children

Our credit-related content is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can assess and address it.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. Where required, we will provide an additional notice or seek consent before materially changing how information is used. This policy does not limit rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
